To help with low-speed maneuverability, the F-100 family had gravity-operated leading edge slats that were almost always down when the plane was on the ground. Our replacement wing comes with the slat area opened and separate slats—it’s a simple matter of gluing them in place. It’s a fast way to capture a low-speed feature accurately.
